The Les Paul’s impact on the worlds of rock ‘n’ roll and blues was absolutely titanic. In the realm of jazz, the instrument that had the same monumental effect is the Gibson ES-175.

When the ES-175 debuted with a run of 129 in 1949, it nudged aside the ES-150, which had been the guitar of choice for jazz innovators like Charlie Christian and Eddie Durham. The ES-175 also proved a more manageable and less costly alternative to the L-5s thanks to its smaller body size and laminated top.

Pickup Systems

Controls for the under bridge mounted piezo pickup are mounted on the instrument’s side for optimum access. The battery compartment is also located on the side, close to the neck, to provide easy replacement. (1-way Systems)

Preamp Systems

This is a tuner-equipped version of System55. The chromatic tuner is accurate,easy to use and easy to view. You can use the tuning mode by pressing a single button even if you have no cable connected. Turning the tuner on or off will not affect the output in any way. The tuner also comes with a one-minute auto-off timer to save battery power.
